addtional battery location

I will take you up ony our offer. I added four 6V bateries (in a large plastic toolbox, w/vent) in the storage compartment next to the entry door of my 2004 Challenger 348. Is is mounted on a steel frame suspended from the floor of the unit. Has worked like a champ, with the three solar panels, since going on the road fulltime in 12/2003. But I am intriqued by your comment on another place to put the batteries, that won't be too far from the inverter that is installed in the compartment on the opposite side of the coach.

I will also get bak to this thread with measurments on where my Sat dish is.

Well. my house is a 2005 Intruder 377W.. I may be asking questions

Though I've torn apart more than a few sections myself.. Added storage, added batteries (But I did take up compartment space) added cables, lots of cables. It's radio active after all (In a manner of speaking) (That's radio active, not radioactive)

Hey chandler, do you know what type of sealing material damon used on the roof end cap seals. It looks like it was a liquid when they applied it at the factory. I noticed a 4 inch section has opened up today after washing the roof. Its in the rear drivers side where there is a metal strip going across. Im not sure if that area is supposed to be sealed. Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom! I have been away working on my stick house for months and just getting back to check in. I believe Damon uses Dicor lap sealant but I would just get some Eternabond, lay it on and forget about it. I did all my seams four years ago and they have never leaked.

Kayo....Click on the search button up top and do a thread search for "Hidden Compartment" I have pictures as well. If you do a search for post by me...I have my inverter install that's in the next compartment to my "hidden" one.

Just to let 'yall know, I have tested the durability of the Challenger over the last two years. You see, I own a 200 year old house that I decided to put an addition on. What started as a simple job turned into a complete gut and rebuild. My wife and I and our two goldies have been living full time in the MH since April. I did the same thing last summer at the beginning of the project. Hopefully, I'll be done in a couple of weeks and I'll be able to enjoy my two year project. (After camping season)
