The Charge Wizard for those of you that don't know is a devise that plugs into your Progressive Dynamics converter and turns it into a three stage charger. Check it out here. And here is a great price on them.CW When I bought my unit in 2004 they came standard with the 50 amp option but were not included with the 30 so I figure there might be some of you out there that don't have it.

Damon put a Progressive Dynamics 9180 in my coach WITH charge wizard.

On various forums I hear from folks who have to add water to their batteries every month, some of them every week and it seems that the batteries boil dry faster than fast.

In the first year I owned my coach I added water once, (Actually I think it was at 13 months) None of them were critical but it was a good time to add water.

It looks like I won't be adding water this year since they don't need it.

A good, well regulated, converter will NOT boil your batteries dry.

And as for the converter itself... I have several devices that run off the 12 volt line, One is a Kenwood TS-2000, Ham Radio Transceiver

It can not tell if the batteries are connected or not, The PD-9180's output is very, very, very clean DC, no evidence of running off the power supply instead of the battery.
