chassis batteries

as i am planning my next week of getting her home and loaded
do the chassis batteries have a float charge on em or are they left to their own demise,

we will probably being stationary until late may.

There are basically several answers to your question so I'll try and list a few

1: If you have shore power (I do) and your rig has a full featured battery control center that allows FULL cross over charging (mine does) then your chassis batteries will be full up when you pull the plug to leave.

2: Many rigs do not have this feature

3: Some folks do not have shore power

In the case of 2: addition of a Trick-L-Start or Xantrex Echo Charge unit adds the missing house -->Chassis charge (normally chassis -->House is included)

in the case of 3: Solar often helps, Note, you may need solution 2 as well

If none of the solutions are acceptable. REMOVE the wires from the battery NEGATIVE terminal (NOTE: This may result in a engine control computer reset and rough driving for a hundred miles or so)

the unit has an ENERGY management system, but stupid me didn't take a picture of it or write down who makes it, maybe it does what you mentioned
it looks like a radio, it has a dial on the right and nice lcd display
I am going nuts waiting on delivery
