Looking for a DP with air ride in the $140K range with bunks. I drove the Astoria two days ago. Ride was nice, except the steering felt like there was something loose when driving 65mph on the highway over a bump. Perhaps that was a problem with that specific unit? I'm also concerned about the rubber roof. I'm wondering how folks like their Astorias, and if they have any regrets about buying it over something else?
Thanks!

Wow, no replies after a few days...? Maybe all the Astoria owners are out enjoying their MHs, while guys in other forums sit at the computer waiting for theirs to get fixed, and talk about how much better their Brand is than Damon....

I don't have the Astoria, but I'm pretty sure the Astoria has a TPO roof, not a rubber roof. TPO is good, no worries.

I have a 2007 Damon Astoria PE and love it.
We were new to Rving when we decided to buy it, but think we made a really good choice.
It seems that no matter what brand you buy, there could be problems.
What it comes down to is how the company works with you to get them resolved. I have read where others may have had problems with this, but as far as we are concerned, Damon has been really great.
You can PM me if you want.

We purchased our 2008 Damon Astoria PE model 3776, exactly one year ago this month. Not only are we 110% satisfied, we have not had any issues that required dealer or factory repair. Not to say minor things don't occur. As you know owning a Motorcoach requires some working knowledge by the owner. You're at the right place (irv2 forums) to gain access and information to a number of topics "prior" to experiencing them first hand. Damon is not unlike any other manufacturer. They use parts from a variety of manufactures to assemble their coaches..... And like things in life, quality usually comes with a larger price tag. Fortunately, in my opinion, Damon does a great job at the price points they produce products for.
We just returned from a two month tour through 15 states logging over 6000 miles and averaged 9.5 miles per gallon towing our Saturn Vue. I am totally pleased with the performance and drivability of our unit.
Whatever your decision is, Damon should be on your short list for sure!

One trip down, and we, too, are totally satisfied with the Damon Astoria Pacific 3776. The layout is wonderful for traveling with kids.
So far, all systems are working - no major faults detected. The unit is outside now, and we're getting 2-4" of rain here today. So far, no leaks :-)
One math problem, though: we dry camped last weekend and went through a little less than half the fresh water. The grey and black tank level monitors still show nothing, however. That water must have gone somewhere... The black monitor did register 2/3 after our drive home, but it has reverted to empty. Is that the easiest RV dump ever? Did i create an EPA event on my way home? Time will tell.
