Hello All,
I've tried calling April Connor at Damon Service without any luck. Is there a secret format to follow to obtain factory service? I'm on a trip out west and will be fairly close to Elkhart in a few days. Thanks
Regards,
OB

Well. when I visited Damon the first time I called my factory rep (You call in and they call you back normally) however that was not a service call.
When I took the rig in for service I called Barbara, who, at that time, scheduled service (Sorry don't know her last name) However that visit was set up by an authorized service center.
I would call your factory rep. wait for the reply, then visit the local Authorized service center and ask them to arrange it.
NOTE: I was very pleased with plant 12 (Warranty repair) The folks there are 1st rate and the work they did fantastic
From the Elkhart Moose Lodge go north, first left, end of the road, cross the cross street and you are there.

Let us know the outcome... Either way.
OH one other thing. if you arrive the day before your service appointment (make sure they know you will) they will leave a power cord for you to hook to.... Likely 20 amps, but a 30 amp RV style outlet and if the repair takes more than one day. Odds are when you return to the plant in the evening your rig will be parked, and plugged in.
So you can stay in the rig (that's if it's the kind of repair where they can do that... My first one was.. My second visit was "in and out" paperwork took longer than repair)

The service writer's name was Barb Munguia, not the most personable but very efficient. That was 5 years ago though and alot has happened with the industry since then.
I would rate the Damon Factory service department as A-1. Their repair order listed many items were fixed/replaced that I didn't even have on my list. I wish they would train the dealership mechanics!!

I found Barbara to be nice.. But I do agree "not the most personable" would apply. However she did set up the appointment for a time that was very very agreeable to me, (I mean had she been insistent I'd have had a day's drive, instead of a half hour, to get there) and all in all made me very happy.
And I second your rating.. IN my case the repair job "expanded" on the way there in fact, it was taken care of anyway, even though, for example, dash replacement, was NOT scheduled.
And as for the repair technicians... Well.. a couple of them, if I had their address... would be on my Christmas card list they were that good and friendly.
I've dealt with warranty repairs before and frankly,,,, This was the best experience I've ever had with that

I just dropped off my MH (August 3rd) to have delam fixed (appointment was scheduled back in May). Was told initially that it would take max of 1 week. Now they're saying 3 weeks. Didn't like the attitude of the service writer and further don't have any great expectation of how it will turn out.
Damon is not on my Christmas card list. I hope I'm wrong.

I should have mentioned in an earlier post...they love the fresh baked donuts from Martin's Supermarket, North Pointe Plaza @ the turnpike exit & S.R.19.
Don't quote me on it but I think dropping a few dozen off with a motor home gives you precedence.
Also, there's been alot of layoffs since May so that may have changed scheduling.
How many techs did you observe in the service dept? There was at least a dozen + supervisors when I was there 4 years ago.

I thinK they recently consolidated all Thor Service at the Mandalay/Four Winds facility on CR 15. There were at least eight service people standing around the service bays before 7:00 AM. The bays were empty and only a few MH's sitting outside as if they were being worked on. There were seven other MH's in my position, waiting to get written up (Damon, Southwind, Mandalay, Chateau, etc). Two service writers - a woman named Mary and a man named Shane.
