Damon Intruder stripes...??

I'm betting that I can't get a replacement stripe kit for a Damon Intruder from Thor....but does anyone know of any shop making reproduction kits?

RV Stripes and Graphics - Before and After

Another option is remove all decals and have shadows covered with paint. You can replace decal or cover larger area like it was a bad tattoo.

I'm in a bit of a pickle, because someone painted over the stripes...did a nice job, but now that paint is cracking (I assume because the vinyl underneath is shrinking)

It may be that one of the companies doing graphics and wraps for cars and trucks could make the stripes for an RV. I prefer paint because it is what I'm familiar with but a friend suggested the graphics idea and it does sound far easier.

Vinyl decal graphics are a quick temporary fix that only last 2-4 years if your in the sun belt. Where as paint lasts for many many years and increases the resale vale of the RV.
It comes down to the owners preference.

I agree entirely that painted graphics would be the best way to proceed with any coach. I've never seen any graphics or stripes applied to any vehicle that would hold up any serious amount of time. There is nothing worse than stripes that start peeling off going down the road.

My Jayco has original vinyl...and it's ooooooold. But then again, it was high quality vinyl, which coach companies just dont use.

Decals & Wrap

I have been cleaning up the mess left by decals for about 30 years. Last year I purchased a 54" vinyl set-up. I then immediately sold it. Why? Because contrary to this post Jaco , Monico, myself can't buy a vinyl product that has a warrantee of even 5 years! That fact being said paint is the only good option on a coach you intend to keep or trade in. No-one wants your cracked out coach in trade because it costs to much to fix. Both paint & stripes are typically darker than the coach colors and draw desert heat. It not only cracks the decal but cracks the FRP board your coach is likely made from under the stripes. When re-decaled or painted they come back in a short time. I fix an average of 1 40' class A diesel coach a week. We repair the fractured glass and repaint the stripes with paint and we have never seen one back for cracks, fade, ever. The end of this story is ( remove the decals) , (Repair the cracks or fractures) , then decide if you want to decal for maybe 5 years time or paint for over 15 years.
