I've heard from fellow Outlaw owners that they are as frustrated with the outside Radio Control Head as I have been. After replacing three heads due to moisture and water leaks I finally stopped taking it to the dealer and tried the home fix routine. Here's what finally worked. I bought an outdoor utility cover for an electrical plug, trimmed it to size from the rear, then used silicone to mount and seal it. The cover can be opened to access the controls. It's been through a half dozen major rain storms, ice, and snow so far and no leaks! Maybe this will work for someone else. If I did this right there should be pictures attached.

That looks like a really clean mod. Where did you pick up the case?

I found them at both Home Depot and Lowes. They are in the electrical section. Clear case with a rubber/black backing that you can cut away to allow for mounting. Less then 6 bucks with tax here in Texas.

Thanks. I must be lucky because mine hasn't failed yet. Reading your post it looks like it's only a matter of time though. I'll be going shopping today!

OK I know what you are saying LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! But myself I like to listen to music when outside NOT BLARING like some do and there is times i would rather watch my sporting event outside than inside but NOT BLARING LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we or should i say some don't want those creature comforts we or I would not have spent all this money to be comfortable when relaxing and yes there are times when i dont use any of my creature comforts and there are times when i have to listen to other campers loud and smashed around a campfire at night either but that is the way it is sometimes and let me tell you I have had a few trips like that and i know it SUX but not all are like that....... So yes i understand what you are saying ......... I bet we have all been there and i hope you have great adventures when you travel and enjoy every minute of them....

Oh boy, am I glad I'm one of those guys who think my music is too loud ALL the time and so constantly feel guity that someone is being put out. I also find I'm in the minority most of the time when I turn the outside off after 6pm... but, that's just me. I suppose it's a left over reflex from my parents yelling about that "damn rock and roll" music of the 60's and 70's!

If I can hear it from next door, it is "too loud".
