Damon pre-wired my vent!

I have a 2001 Damon Challenger 335.

I was curious about installing a vent fan in the coach roof vent. I heard some other Damon owners say that Damon conveniently wired power to the vent. I took my vent apart today and found the wires tucked away to the side in a plastic grommet.

Now I just need to decide which vent to install. A Fan-Tastic Vent Model 4000 R with Maxxair II Vent Cover or Fan/Mate

or

Turbo/Maxx, which has everything I need all in one.

I think I'm leaning towards the Turbo/Maxx because the fan is further away from the inside of the coach, so it will be quieter.

Does anyone have suggestions?

You have several replies over at rv.net. It's pretty much a question of which features you want and like. Both are quality products, depending on whom you ask. Enjoy your RV

As much as I love my Fantastic Fan, the Maxx Air Turbo which can be "open" in a rain storm without leaking gets my vote.

I'm considering going with a Fan-Tastic Vent Model 4000 R and an Maxxair II Vent Cover which will let me keep the vent open all the time as well.

I'm drawn to the fantastic vent because of their excellent customer service. I guess I'll have to compare pricing.
