Damon Tuscany Questions
Hello Damon Tuscany Owners,
I recently came across an 08 Tuscany 4051 which the DW and I both like the floor plan, but have only seen online. I'm asking for anyone's knowledge of any issues or concerns to be aware of before taking a closer look? I see from literature that a TPO roof material was used on these models. Is there any concerns with this type of roof material?
Thank you in advance for your input!

I have the Damon Daybreak with that that type of roof. It is a 2005 model, and I inspect my roof at least 2 to 3 times a years. Have not seen any physical damage or concerns. The only problem I ever had was were my front cap meets the house. I had leak under the channel molding that was coming down the side windows. I completely resealed the joint, and have not had any other problem. One thing I will caution you on, is, do not use any silicone on this type roof. Also make sure to buy the right Dicor sealant. They make several types of sealant. Read the label first. Other than than, you can do a search here at the top of the page. Might fine more information from other people. I would also recommend to keep the RV out of the weather when not in use. Weather is a RV's worst enemy!!!

Hawkeye1995,
Thank you for your response, it's good to hear you were able to catch the leak early. Thanks for the heads up about selecting the correct dicor sealant for each application. I agree, mother nature is tough on everything including our motor homes.
Safe travels and enjoy every day!

Would there be any other concerns for the 4051 model or Damon models in general?

I personally do not know of any concerns with your model. I would just type in your model in the IRV2.com search at the top of the page. I would bet you will find someone there that has been on here asking questions. Good Luck, and safe travels to you also.

Damon Diesel Pushers
The Tuscany you are considering is a "step up" from the Astoria model I own in that Tuscany's are a couple of feet longer, have a larger engine, are heavier and more towing capacity than Astorias. Damon Astoria/Tuscany's are entry level to mid-level motorhomes in terms of "luxury amenities". If you're like me and don't want to spend a lot of money on a "family toy", then Astorias and Tuscany's are a great value.
The only "significant" problem I've had with my Astoria during the two years I've owned it was the passenger side slide-out control module (Lippert model) failing. I had to wait a week to get a replacement module. Other than that, my Astoria has given my wife and I several weekends of enjoyment within a 250 mile radius of Houston-- LSU football tailgating, trips to the Texas Hill / Wine Country, and "beach trips" to Port Aransas and Jamaica Beach. My career doesn't allow time for a one or two week, long distance excursion.
The overall quality of a Damon diesel pusher I think is quite good. A Tuscany model would be a good choice.

2008 Damon
Purchased a 2008 4076 2 months ago with 46,000 miles no major issues yet other than a smaller propane tank from our 1999 Winnebago and the day shade stopped working

Hi, We have a 2008 Damon Astoria with a TPO roof. We sit here on a rainy day with not a problem or leak after 10 years.
I think the TPO material is good. It seems to stand up to the elements better than rubber roofs of the past.
