The left tail/brake light has stopped working on our '06 Daybreak. It's a round lense and appears to be mounted in a rubber grommet and I'm wondering how to get it apart to try changing the bulb. There doesn't appear to be any way to get to it easily from inside the coach, so I'm thinking it must come out by pulling on the grommet but I'd a like a little reassurance before I do the wrong thing and break it or end up taking a whole bunch of other stuff apart to try to get at it from the inside. Anybody "been there, done that"?

Never mind, I just pried it out of the hole and checked for power at the plug, it's good. So I guess I have to find a replacement lamp assembly...

NAPA had 'em, less than $8 apiece.

Did you test the old bulb? Usually the biggest thing that makes them not work when the bulb is good is a bad ground.

I got the easy to find, 4" round LED lights for mine for $10 each. Been in for 5 years and they'll probably last the life of the MH

Yes. I tested the old one with a Vmeter and both circuits were open, and the power to the plug was good. Seemed a little odd that both the taillight and the stop circuit would fail at the same time but they apparently did.

We have an 06 Daybreak. Got the light from our local truckstop a few years ago and it works great.
