Hi to all,
I have a 2009 Damon Essence. Still trying to find out what all the switches go to. On the rocker switches there is a dock light toggle. It does not seem to turn on the lights. Any suggestions as to if lights in general have to be on, or switch on????
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Alan

Alan
i received some wiring diagrams today from Damon, i solved the driving light issue,
according to customer service if we select "dock Lights" and the rig is in reverse, engine running and the lights are on, didn't specify headlights or running lights, the dock lights are supposed to illuminate, mine do neither.
have some more reading to do, but hopefully someone knows the answer and is/are sitting on the sideline watching us dance, will give us a hint.....

I can attest to the fact that they will only work in Reverse with the engine running and at least the parking lights on. They are for parking the rig at night when you need to back up. They illuminate the area of your site so you can see well.
They've done a good job for us....

I have to amend the comment. I was just in the coach (I am leaving on a business trip to South Florida tomorrow) and the doc lights work when in reverse regardless of what the regular lights are doing.

Hi to all,
I tried the dock lights with the motor running, shift in reverse, turned on the dock light rocker switch, and the dock lights did in fact come on, without the headlights of parking lights turned on.
Thanks for the hint as to putting it in reverse, as that was the key. Why, I don't know, as I would think that when you have a dash light for the dock lights, that would alone, control the lights. I sometimes do not see the logic of factory set ups, as there are times you would use the lights without the shift in reverse.
Thanks for the assistance.
Alan

I had the same problem too and was going to ask the dealership. Thanks everyone!!! Another cudo for the forums and the good people on them. I do wonder also about the having to be in reverse, guess a safety feature for going down the road..

its prolly so we wont blind a car next to us
the slide interlock is next, its a real pain to shut off the engine to open her up after leveling, 6 slides sure do eat up some batteries fast

I would suggest that you run your gererator while opening up the slides, as they do take a chunck of the battery, especially, if they are not fully charged.

We always run the generator or use shore power for our 5 slides. The cable motors will eat the batteries up if you are not careful.
I believe the put in the interlock to keep you from accidentally (or a failure in a switch) from having a slide come out while traveling. If you notice there are not places for a slide lock bar on the slides in the coach.

i think when i find it I will put in an override with a flip up safety cover so you have to know your bypassing the feature
at home this week maybe i can find the secret interlock location
i was wondering about the slide lock bars, the book states to use em, but i have none
