Door handle and lock

Have 2000 Damon Escaper 3980 Motorhome that recently had the door handle break off the entry door. Was able to unscrew panel to get to the mechanism using a flathead screw driver to pry open the lever.

Anyone know where to find a replacement handle as they are made of pot metal and tried welding but it didn't work more than a couple tries before breaking again.

Found a replacement door in Ky but they won't sell just the door lock and handle.

Thanks will look into it. The outer door handle works. It is only the inside door handle that broke, other than that it works with the aid of a flat blade screw driver opening it from within.

My 2006 daybreak handle (out side) broke when the door was "locked". I was lucky that the M/H was in the front yard and we had a window open. Google Velvac if my memory is correct that is where I got my replacement for $52.00. That is a 2015 price. Our old style is square & the upgraded one is "D" shaped. My door opening was a tight fit for the new latch & the door jam side 2 screws didn't line up & no adjusting room. But works fine. I tried the post quick reply and got message is to short??? OK ??

sorry---Velvac was the name of the company that I go parts for my mirror. If you remove the door handle assy there should be a brand name.
