We have an edge programmer on our 2005 2500 GMC which has the Duramax engine. The edge programer had five settings of which only one was recommended unless you modify your transmission and engine. Now saying that, we towed 14000 lbs of Montana for a couple of years with the truck and yes in mode 1 setting, I could tell the difference in the power and acceleration. Millage, maybe one more mile to the gallon. Ours just plugged into the control module and the EGH sensor was added to our turbo. When I was not towing, I reset it to 0 and everything was back to the orriginal settings. I don't think we will install one on our motor home. Our Ford V10 works pretty good.

I use the older Edge Comp on my '02 Dodge/Cummins 2500 pickup - used as tow vehicle for our KIT 5er. It works GREAT - pretty easy install, and about 100 HP/300 ft lbs tq increase (verified with several dyno runs!) - MPG up 2-3 as well in normal driving. As noted, that extra power CAN cause problems in the rest of the drivetrain if pushed too hard!

That said, the truck/5er pulls the STEEPEST grades with ease!
