Emissions sticker - Damon Daybreak 2740

The catalytic converters on my 1999 Damon with a Chevy 7.4l vortec need to be replaced. The muffler shop tells me that by California law they cannot replace the converters without knowing the emissions information under the hood. The sticker there is worn, cracked, faded and unable to be read. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible that there is an emissions sticker in another place around the engine?
