Mine did look just like yours. I used some silver spray paint and it looked better. After awhile I tried some gloss black high temp paint and it looked even better, I left it at that, easy fix.

Sorry, our Cat exhaust is a nice curved stainless steel job. Seems the Cummins engines exhaust does look kind of crappy....

Did I imagine it, or did I read on one of the forums I frequent that the current exhaust is required because of the pollution/exhaust cleaning design of the Cummins engines?

i would say its a bs,
all the exhaust cleaning is done at the particle filter upstream, I would imagine the ugly design is to help diffuse the HOT air during regen if your sitting still
i will say the new pipe is still CLEAN on the inside and we just put 600 miles on her
really i wiped a finger around it inside and it was squeaky clean

powerboatr,
Can we bother you to snap another picture of the "underside" of the tail pipe to see how it is connected to the actual exhast tube? I too tried painting my tip with high heat paint, since it has been an eye sore since the day we took delivery of our coach. I would much rather replace with a stainless tip.
Thanks in advance,
Richard

we are on the road
but it simply is held in place by a large band clamp with two 5/8 nuts. loosen em up then pop the clamp and do the wiggle and the pipe will slide right off
