Late to the party here. Many emergency start switch/system are activated by the chassis battery. If it is very low there may not be enough voltage to activate the solenoid to connect the house batteries. Might want to get one of the disconnect switch that mounts to the chassis battery, disconnected not dead battery.

Hi Len,
Mounting a disconnect switch does sound like the way to go.
Cheers,

Hi all,
Thor had told me to temporarily keep the battery disconnect switch on to keep the step deployed.
I went to the storage to turn on the battery disconnect and the chassis battery was dead again, I had left the wireless rear view camera plugged in.
I tried starting off the emergency start and it started and I drove 17 miles, I then pulled in and switched off the and it started fine and drove the 3 miles back to the storage.
I will be driving 260 miles soon so will see how it goes.
Thanks all for the help,

If it were mine, I'd verify where the boost switch gets its power from. No good if it's powered from the chassis battery. If you have the disconnect switch in the disconnect position that switch may not work. If your coach has a intellitec BCC your house batteries should charge from the alt if the isolation solenoid is working right. I'd be finding out if it's really working right before the trip, don't want trouble on the road.

Hi Charlie,
I am pretty sure it gets power from the chassis battery but not 100% sure.
I am going to check the coach again this evening.

If the boost switch is powered from the chassis battery, and the chassis battery is dead it will never work. It doesn't make any sense to power it from the chassis battery, it's there to boost the chassis battery, so you can get the coach started. It needs to get power from the house batteries, so the isolation will work to jump start the chassis. Every coach I've had worked this way.

All is good now.
I drove 270miles and twice it started fine after stopping. Also the coach charged my house batteries from 85% to 100% while driving.
