since it was a year i went ahead and had the oil changed.
orielles had Valvoline premium blue on sale, i bought 7 gallons and then a filter from the truck center
my local ford dealer charged me 50 in labor to drain and replace the filter, and refill the crankcase, plus disposal of the old oil
so i feel good 164 buckaroos for a lof.

PB:

Good on you. I made the mistake of having my first change done at the Kansas Freightliner Center. About three times what you paid.

I'll be smarter next time --- I hope.

Yep greased me good. I did forget to add that the cost included servicing my generator. But still high in comparison.

i didnt have the chassis lubed as it was just done, but i have a flat rate from them if they do the oil change it is 100 for labor and i supply the oil and filter.
still a great deal, plus its like family in the service bay, we all sit around and bs about everything while the tech works his tail off under a hot motor

What a deal. I am going to Gaffney for the first change for mine. Bought it in april last year even though it is a 2008. Called to sched the M1 and Gaffney look up Mfg. date and said they would do a two year check instead. I need wheel alignment and A/C service so I am busilly saving up for the price tag on this "oil change".

i am lost at the two year check, have you not been keeping up with your maintenance?
ours is an 08 as well and we purchased it last april (09) and part of the pdi was a full m1 service.
my a/c took 5 visits to get it all replaced, now its working really well.

it no blow cold air
it started at the compressor line, it started leaking a fluid whilst we were sitting parked with the engine off
they fixed that, then it must have had some pieces of o-ring floating around, because the evap canister got clogged up and to make it all clean they replaced the condenser to make sure everything was good

We take ours once a year and get the complete service done. We have to have all the filters changed (the air filter gets done twice a year), chassis lubed along with all the fluids that need changed done.

Time to take it this year and have the valves adjusted as well. It's got 24k on it now and the Cat C7 needs the adjustment around 25K.
