Cheap bathroom night light. Found some fat wide angle LEDs at about 30 cents ea. First one went in bathroom ceiling light fixture. Removed lite and one lens. Drilled 3/8 inch hole in vertical edge, and touched up hole to pressfit LED. Soldered wires and reinstalled. Works great. Most of our lite fixtures are two stage, all off, one lite and both lites. Next will do one in front area but moving wires around so night lite is in first on position and all in second. Just for when we have guests sleeping in front.

.
These are not bright enough for daily tasks. The one LED functions well as a night light, can sit and think, brush teeth, get a drink etc. but I would not try to shave or get ready for a hot date. Lots of threads available on converting room lights.
