Yes there is. I bought a locking cap for ours at Advance auto. I was told there were two different ones for a Ford chassis, but not sure about the Workhorse. I think it is a smart investment. John H....

Well... My 2005 Damon Intruder is built on a Workhorse Custom Chassis.. When I visited Damon I posed exactly the same question to the people there.

They told me the cap is the same cap that fits the Chevy Silverado 8.1L ... And so it is.

Cap from Workhorse was around 40 bucks

Camp for the Silverado from Auto-zone, about 8

OPTION..

They make a locking "cover" for the fuel filler. This (I wish I'd known about it sooner) is a door, just like the water filler door, that goes over the gas filler area.. I think it is big enough to fit over the benzel.. This would actually be a better choice as once it's painted it is indistinguishable from teh water door and 2: it makes the rig a bit smoother (More aerodynamic) might increase your mpg by 0.0001 MPG or so

Might want to re-think that. I had an older motorhome that my daughter, a teen at the time, was trying to help get the rig ready for a horse show and filled the gas tank with water. The neighbor helped my wife and daughter out. They drained the tank and added a gas dryer to the tank and replaced the gas. Although it never caused a single problem, my wife never chose to tell me about it until only a couple of years ago, after my daughter grew up.

On my 08 Outlaw, I found the gas cap for an 1982 2wd Toyota Tacoma fit perfectly.

We went with the Auto Zone Version. Works great, cheap price and good idea.

Here is another thought. Put a lock on your gas tank and how will they steal your gas. They will cut the line and drain it that way. Now you have not only lost your gas but have a very expensive repair bill. I'll let them take the gas. But then how many of you have ever had anyone try to steal the gas from your RV?

With that type of thinking, I suppose one should not lock the door to the house or vehicle so people won't have to break a window or door to gain entry to steal.

Most thieves will pass/move on from a vehicle with a locked gas cap to one that is an easier target - unlocked that will draw less attention.

Most thieves go for the low hanging fruit. Unless they are desperate, they will see the lock and move on.

P.S. Still looking for the receipt.

Two considerations...

1: My intruder is on a workhorse chassis, When I visited Damon I asked about that, (Workhorse sells a lockign gas cap but hold on to your wallet) My service rep also has a Workhorse.

He advised me, and I took his advice, to get the biggest same-year Chevy Silverado locking gas cap.

Works great

If you are built on an "other than workhorse" I'd think the same advice but it will be, perhaps a FORD F-350 instead of a Silverado.

Take the old cap with you to the store if you wish.

Thought 2

You have a very expensive tank and hose, so I'm a gas thief, since I can't remove the cap, I got a very nice knife (Genuine Leatherman in my case) that can slice that hose like it was salami
