i have a generac primepact 50 model#02010-2. i just got this motorhome a couple months ago. people at the dealer told me that this gen was too small to run both ac units at the same time. didnt understand that cause it set up with switches to be able to do that. anyways if you try to run both the gen will run a little bit and die. so i havent been running both but now my gen is starting to die whenever it decides to. might run a minute, 30 minutes or 6 hours. no rime or reason. and it doesnt have to be under any load to do this. have checked fuel and the carb is still full of gas after it dies so its something electrical. please help.....

Not sure if it is the same issue but on my old Onan I had the same problem. It was the fuel pump going bad and it could not keep up with the demands. Replaced the pump and had no problems for the next year until I traded in the unit.

I'm wondering why you still bought the unit with that genny after you were warned it was too small. They were probably right though because all the units I looked at with 2 a/c units had the Onan 5500 installed with 50 amp service.

I have a single 15,000 btu Carrier and the Primepact 50 (rated 4800 watts) that puts out 30 amps. Dealer told me it would power everything in my coach at the same time--and it does.
