Generator staring by itself.

Ok, this is weirding me out. I've owned this Tuscany for over 2 years now, bought it new. Put 21000 miles on it. Been to Key west, San Diego, Yellowstone, Portland and more. Last week took MH to Freightliner for an oil change. They found that the serpentine belt was getting fried on the edge and working its way off the pulleys. (glad it never came off). While they were there also replaced a air hose for the power booster that was leaking. (now it works, I didn't realize it wasn't). We've been home now since mid Sept. the HM has been plugged in to 50 amp service I have at home.

I didn't know that I had automatic start on this generator. I've heard about but never used it, heck I don't even know how to turn it on. I came home this afternoon from a shopping trip and the Generator was running. Maybe the mechanics turned the auto start on or there is Halloween spooks around here.
My question is,, how do I turn on/off the auto start on this thing? and Why would it auto start?

Now down a different rabbit path... I've had a slow air leak when I shut down the MH. in the dash, it continually got worse so I tracked it down to the air gauge in the dash. Where the air hoses connect to the gauge the plastic housing had a crack. Had to replace the whole gauge assy. Cost for gauge was $350.00 and my free labor. The leak is now no more.

Thanks for listening to my long rant.

My auto start switch is located on the main generator control panel, switch it to manual.

If I had one (it's on my list to add) it would be on the EMS panel.

The settings on an auto gen start module would include a low voltage condition (unlikely if plugged in and everything working right) and most can also monitor interior temp, and fire the genny if it gets too hot (they assume you left the A/C switched on) so the a/c will fire up.

There are known problems with some gen sets starting themselves even without an auto start feature. Water gets into the circuit box and shorts some circuits and starts the gen.
We're supposed to have the autostart. I had to get a new control and add a sensor wire from the inverter to the gen set. I did all that and it still won't work. I can stop the gen set from the new control but not start it. I've been told there's the inverter start circuit is bad and needs fixing, just haven't done it yet.

If you have an Onan Quiet Diesel generator the problem is corrosion in the plug between the generator and the cable going inside the motorhome. This is a known problem with Onan generators.

Ditto with Norm4015. I cured my start problem by using a lot of dielectric grease
on the plug prongs and the seam where it plugs together. Cause of the start
was water migration into the plug and this can cause corrosion over time.

I don't even think I have this auto start feature. At least I see now mention of it anywhere. Where are these plug/prongs located?
Thanks,
Ron

At the top left front of the generator, assuming you have the
Onan Quiet Diesel. Finger size wire coming out to plug.

Check EMS panel for AGS (Auto Generator Start) settings.

Same thing happened to me.
Not sure how long it ran. Went all the way from Palm Springs to Casa Grande and when I got there the gen was going
