I own a 2008 Damon Outlaw 3612 on the Workhorse platform. This weekend I tripped the GFCI outlet on the passenger side near the floor at the co-pilots feet. It is a brown outlet plate that is below the 12 volt outlet and it is labeled "GFCI protected".
The problem is that I cannot find the "master" GFCI outlet that allows you to test and RESET this GFCI circuit. The one in the bathroom resets some of the other GFCI outlets but not this one. The bigger problem is that it seems ALL of the TV's are also also on the same GFCI circuit.....soooooo, when I tripped that outlet all of the TV's went dark too.
I can't find the resetable GFCI outlet that controls the TV's and this plate. Can anyone out there help me???
Thanks,
John

On my 08 Challenger it's in the bathroom. They usually put them in a "wet area", kitchen, bath, maybe in the toy bay or in one of the storeage bays.

In researching the problem it seems that these outlets should be run thru the inverter if that helps any. I looked at the inverters remote control and it looked fine but will have to check it again.

Depending on the install (Factory or after market) the GFCI in question could be on the inverter itself.
However, If all else fails do the midnight search
MOST (Alas not all) GFCI's show a red light when tripped.
It could also be a circuit breaker.. They do make GFCI-Circuit breakers.. Neveer seen one but used to have the box one came in

Have you checked the regular circuit breaker panel? I think the GFCI circuit also runs through the main CB panel. Could you have popped a breaker and not have tripped the GFCI? The breaker panel on our Daybreak is below the foot of the bed.
What model Shadow do you have? We tow a 6X12' enclosed trailer with a '04 Aero 750 and a '03 VLX600.

SUCESS! Thank you to all that posted an idea of what the problem might be and where I might look. I found my INverter above the circuit breaker box behind a blank drawer front held on with two screws. On the top of the inverter was a TINY switch that had been tripped (I could see red on the side of the switch since I was looking at it at eye level since I was on the floor). I pushed the button and BINGO...TV's work again. Now I know where it is and how to fix it when/if this happens again.
Thanks again to all that posted helpful ideas of where my problems might lie....I do probably have a screw loose but that doesn't have anything to do with my motorhome...lol.

Scottwig,
We have a 07 Honda Shadow Aero with a switchblade windscreen and leather saddlebags. It is my wifes first motorcycle and she loves it. The main reason we bought our Outlaw Toyhauler is to take the motorcycles with us when we go traveling.

JemcO, check out this forum for the Aero, if you haven't already...
http://www.shadowaero750.com/
We looked real hard at the Outlaw, and almost did it, but decided on a little more living space, and the inconvenience of a trailer v. the inconvenience of climbing the stairs every night. In retrospect, I guess we bought the trailer for the bikes and the MH for the dogs.<g> (2 mini long-hair dachshunds)

We don't climb the stairs...we have a 9 year old that LOVES her loft. We will either sleep on the airbed or the Murphy bed in the back (ours is the 3612). We also got the Outlaw for the dogs (we have a 120# Newfoundland, a 89# Bernese Mountain dog and a 4# Maltese) that were a little cramped riding in my F350 from Ohio to Yellowstone NP and back.
I will take a look at the Areo site...thanks.

You 'spose my wife could use the outlaw toy hauler to haul her ride with leather saddlebags?
Of course we would have to shovel it out and hose it down when we reached our destination.

Re the location of the inverter and switch..I have this theory about folks who design stuff these days.. No I'm not alone in my thinking
Dr. Jordan Kare is a genuine Rocket Scientist (The kind that actually does design rockets)
And he is also a writer of songs.. After the last Space Shuttle disaster Buzz Aldren quoted from one of Dr. Kare's works "Fire In The Sky"
NOTE: Dr. Kare and I agree on a few things
This is from "The Designer" also by Dr. Kare
The designer sat back. His plan he surveyed
The screwiest thing he had ever made
He signed his name with a line so thin
Then put down his pencil and started to grin
He shouted with glee, “Success at last
I’ve designed a part that can’t even be cast.”
