GPS - 08 Damon Tuscany (Looking For Info)

Need some help. Just purchased a new 08 Tuscany last week and when I attempted today to ger the card for the GPS was told that the OEM for the card is out of business and Damon has no planned solution to the issue. Finally, the dealer called me later today and told me they found a card for the unit, but that leaves me wondering what happens downstream when the card may need updated?

Has anyone else experienced a like issue with Damon or Damon dealers?

your going to find the gps card and updates for the dash unit are not slated for updates.
do you have the older dash unit that has the b/w cameras and a no name head unit?
you would be better off buying a gps unit
i have a garmin 3600 ique, its older but serves its purpose

Not sure of the brand, have it at the dealer getting PDI stuff corrected now. Will check when I get back and let you know.

Most of the manufacturers of the "head" units do not supply the actual software for the GPS. After you check to see who makes it and the model number, i.e. Jensen, Kenwood, etc. then we can determine if you can go directly to the "mapping" companies web site for an update. I would love to say you will be fine, however that is also why I use a top name brand GPS like Garmin, the leader of the industry. I am pretty confident they will be around for a while.
