Help With Damon Outlaw ABS

I'm the new owner of a 2007 Damon Outlaw 3611 (see other post in this forum). When I picked it up, the RV rental company that had been maintaining the unit (they handled the sale on consignment) put a code reader on the MH to analyze the ABS light. The initial code was for a right/rear sensor. They pulled that one, cleaned it, and re-read the codes. The reader showed no fault codes, but the light persisted. We tried multiple 'Clear Codes' to no avail. Eventually, I took the unit and drove back home with no issues...except the light on the dash. It flashes once off then back on just after the motor reaches idle speed.

I spent yesterday crawling under the unit and checking all four ABS sensors along with all fuses. The fuses are all good and the brake fluid level is full. The rear wheel sensors were somewhat 'cluttered' with metal filings, which I cleaned. The front two looked like fuzzy lollipops (see picture). I cleaned these two and reinstalled. Other forum posts and Ford Truck forums mentioned a speed sensor on the differential. The Outlaw (at least mine) is a 2006 F53 chassis though a 2007 Outlaw build and does NOT have a speed sensor on the Diff--the wire connector to the right rear sensor is attached there, but no sensor. I checked all sensors with a VOM--all the same at the connectors with about 2.5K ohms.

I still got the light, so I took the coach for a short drive around the neighborhood of about 7 miles reaching 40mph to see if the code would reset. It did not. Headed down to a local repair shop with an ABS reader Friday. In the mean time, does anyone have any ideas on if or how long it would take the light to reset if the dirty sensors were the culprit? And any further ideas on where/what to check?

Again, thanks for the assist.

Did you check for recalls. Workhorse had a recall on their ABS system.

This is my technology wasted mind saying put a piece of black electric tape over the light on your dash.

OK...got the Outlaw to my friendly auto shop with a 'real' ABS code reader and found codes 1220 and 1236. There's a Ford TSM for the 1236 that points towards a short or bad connection in the left/rear sensor. I've checked the connection near the wheel--nice and tight. Will check the connectors near the ABS computer next--chatter on the Ford forums indicates there's a propensity for corrosion there. We'll see. The 1220 also points to a bad connection; and worse, the only real way to troubleshoot is via a Ford factory-level ABS reader. As luck would have it, in my pursuit to get the tires balanced, I stumbled across the local Fleet Freightliner maintenance shop who happen to service Class A's as well. The tire service owner assured me they'd treat me right (and they're 15 miles closer than the nearest Ford large truck service center). So...will let them have a shot.

And if all else fails, I've got the electrical tape cut to cover the ABS light!

Will update as this goes.
