How many Escapers were built?

We have a 2000 Escaper3970, was wondering how I could find out how many were built in the 99-2000 year. our build date was Dec. 7th 1999.

I was hoping someone knew the formula to answer your question. I've been wondering how many are left, myself. Since you have yet to receive an answer, I'm guessing... not many.

Here's a piece of the puzzle, maybe. My 2004 is numbered 3634. That number is typed on the vehicle weight statement pasted in the kitchen cabinet over the sink. Since I'm not silly enough to think that's over 3000 Escapers built per year, could that be cumulative Escapers built over all years up to that point? That, too, could be a little optimistic. Maybe that's all Damons built that year (too optimistic still, I think) or all Damons built up to that point in time. Anybody have any ideas that narrows that down?
