Hurricane Battery Solenoid

Does anyone know whet the battery disconnect solenoid is on a 2005 hurricane 30q is. I looked behind the fuse box under the hood and there are 3 things that look like solenoids but which one is the disconnect? My disconnect switches don't shut off I think the solenoid is stuck on

Do you have an Intellitec Battery Control Center? The Manual? You say neither of the switches work which according to my manual indicates you may have a blown fuse labeled F19 (BD Relays).

Other possibility: At least one of the batteries has to have 11 volts or more. If not charge one of them.

The picture in my manual illustrates left is Aux Batt Disconnect, center is Isolator Solenoid, and right is Main Battery Disconnect.

Hi tom
thanks for the info. I just got back from vacation, I will look at the solenoids again. My coach battery keeps discharging and I recharge it. The problem is the disconnect switches don't shut off. I unplug them and the battery still discharges. That's why I thought it me be the disconnect solenoid.
Thanks
mike

hi
no, the switches don't turn off. I unplug the switches and the battery still discharges also when I plug into my house the cord sparks. My solenoid must stay on but I don't see why that would make my extention cord spark when I plug into my house. It is an intellitec
thanks
mike

Mike,
If you have the Single BCC like mine, one relay works from a momentary switch. This means it only needs voltage applied when you want to either connect or disconnect. This is obviously for the battery disconnect. There is another relay called an isolator relay. This is continuous duty. This means there is constant voltage to it when latched (Batts are connected to each other) for the purpose of charging. On some systems there my also be a momentary switch for aux starting when the chassis batt is low or dead. This relay will he warm or even hot to the touch when working properly. The third relay is called the BIRD (Bidirectional Isolator Relay Delay). This is part of the circuit board with the fuses. The senses the voltages of the converter and both battery sets and will energize the isolator relay based on voltage.

As far as your power cord sparking, sounds like you may have additional problems to isolate before you look at your BCC. More info would be helpful.
