ok, im new to the rv world so im learning. wasnt real sure what all the inverter/converter was supposed to do. i know its supposed to keep the house batterys charged when you have shore or gen power. mine is a 30amp system and the owners manual say it should supply power to the front and rear tv's and home theatre system/vcr. my inverter is a inteli power 9100 1000w. when i have no shore power and not running gen i have no power to either tv our outlet. all 12 volt lights and fans still work but nothing else. any ideas? 2006 damon daybreak 3060

That intellipower unit is a converter/charger. You may not have an inverter - look for something with a Xantrex label on it for the inverter.

The owner's manual covers several "options" the inverter is one such option.

It may be you do not have that option.. My coach did not when new. It does now.. A Xantrex Prosine 2.0

By the way.. If you decide to add an inverter.. I recommend TRUE SINE WAVE types. Yes, they are more expensive... but if it works on shore power, and it does not draw more power than the Prosine can put out.. IT works on Prosine

With the Xantrex X-Power line (MSW) that statement is not always true
Many devices that are well within the X-power's capability load wise, Won't work properly on the MSW wave power.
