Converter location

Hi gang, glad I found this thread.
We've got a 05 Astoria that we have had 5 years now with 27k miles on and absolutely love it.
I have been trying to locate the converter and even contacted Thor, but all they could find was drawings back to 06.
Anyone have any idea where the converter might be?

It has to be hidden in a wall as I have looked everywhere others have suggested with no luck. Not having problems, just like to know.

I'm actually heading out Tuesday night to TN where some friends and I are ridding our Harley's throughout the bourbon tour. I'm trailering 4 bikes and taking the bus to get us there quicker in comfort.

Thanks,

LOL. I have been looking for this thing for over a year. Although, I have not really pulled anything off or out to look. Bet that sucker is behind a wall.

After consultation with "Bear" and some googling...I think a converter is built in to our Magnum Energy 2000ME Inverter...battery charger function that converts AC power to DC power thus charging our 12 volt house batteries...we have 2011 Astoria's...

First trip out this season...the Norcold does not want to operate on LP gas... Ran the stove burners for a while to get LP flowing...no joy with the Norcold yet...most likely has air in LP line and the safety mechanism is shutting down the lighter (I hope)...seems like it did the same thing last year...any ideas or thoughts out there?

Oh yeah...the Captiva does not tow well with the emergency brake on...rookie mistake...the DW's fault!

Jim, can you hear the igniter trying to light? The Woodall's forum has some great info on fixing refer's.

Water shorts PG leveling & kicks on pump

Gang, have any of you had your PG leveling pump kick on when driving in the rain? Assuming they still use Power Gear in the Astoria
Something got wet while driving in rain & my hydrolic pump kicked on just running. Fortunately it didn't lower the jacks, but I'm pretty sure the issue fried my pump. Pretty sure the water causes the solenoid on the front of the pump to close and allow power to the pump.
Any thoughts?
I will be troubleshooting this weekend. Need to get her fixed for trip in June.

Thanks,
Kaven

The Norcold had air in the line...2-3 attempts/lighting cycles and it started working...on propane...

Your hydraulic pump kicking on is a new problem...first time I have heard of that on here...I assume your leveling system does not work now...at least the location of the pump is somewhat accessible...so repair may not be too bad...I hope!

Please keep us posted on it...

Jim

Glad to hear the frig is working.

Not sure if I have damage or not to leveling system. Prob so, but I will know more this weekend. When I contacted PG couple years ago about the pump on with water, the tech told me the controlling system was problem getting moisture. Need to just get the system back to running then try & find the root cause.

I will keep you posted.
