The furniture (dinette, table, couch, & cap chairs, plus toilet) had to be pulled. No clearance issues as it’s about same thickness as pad & carpet.
I had it done by a gentleman who was a retired flooring guy here in TX and he did an awesome job. You would think it was built this way.
Let me get some new pics today and I will share.
Looks tremendous, plus the extra benefit of noise dampening. I'll certainly put a similar upgrade on my wish list for next year. Was it difficult to remove the tiles and any material underneath it? Did you remove the shower and vanity or just work around it? The sofas and captains seats wouldn't be too difficult. Did you have to remove the galley?
Thanks

Only removed the furniture, toilet, and a small wall table that is behind the passenger seat. The removal of the old flooring takes a bit and fortunately that was done by the guy I hired. I could have reduced cost by doing it myself, but my schedule didn’t allow it at the time.

I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I have. The left front levelling jack has started to leak hydraulic fluid at a noticeable rate and is not supporting weight. With only 3 jacks supporting I am concerned that the frame or body may twist a little. In fact, the cargo doors on the passenger side are binding when I try to open them so that's indicative of something twisting. Although we are parked in a resort for a couple of months I'm going to retract all jacks and hope that we are fairly stable and level.
Has anyone replaced or had rebuilt a Lippert Leveling jack? It's the weekend and I'll call LCI on Monday and ask if they can be rebuilt but I was interested to hear anyone else's experiences with these components either replacing or rebuilding

Hey britcanuck, hoping you found a solution to your leveling problem. I've got Power Gear on mine and have only had experience with the electrical & motor portion. No experience with the jacks themselves.

So far no problem with the jacks leaking, but I’m sure it is a matter of time like all things.

Please post the info and results when a solution is found.

Progress so far. Although the Ultra Level system was designed by Lippert they apparently outsourced some of the components. According to their parts dept. the front jacks are no longer available (the rear are) The fronts were made by a company called Custom Cylinders. They will rebuild the jack for $375. If I want to replace it I have to take it off the coach and return it to them for identification. Not an ideal situation when we're 1400 miles from home. Lippert Tech support suggested wiring it up to the frame to get home and deal with it then. Sounds the best idea so far.

Are there Damon Daybreak owners that need a new decal? I am looking for partners to split the cost on my '06?

Hi all, I started this thread in March of 2013 and I’m glad to see it still thriving. I haven’t checked in in quite a while as we had sell Thor due to an unfortunate financial situation. Safe travels to all and keep sharing.

New to this website as of 2-7-2019.

We just purchased a 2006 Damon Astoria 3679, from dealership in Salt Lake. Have parked it front of residence and within a month the house batteries went dead. No problem taking them out, but I forgot to take a picture for where all the cables go. I sure it’s DC series system (2 six volts deep cycle) but not sure about the black cable and two white cables. If someone has this setup could you sent me a picture of your setup please.

I’ve got a 2005 3679 that should be the same wiring as yours.

The white wire coming from the solenoid (mine is mounted to the left side of the bay/compartment ) goes to the positive +
The other white wire (disappears leaving bay/compartment ) & the black wire (ground inside bay/compartment) goes to negative -

I’ll try and add pics.

Pics. Not sure this helps, but you can see the solenoid mounted to the left inside wall.
