WOW what a change
we finally had the dash unit replaced, took em a day and few hours but man o man what a difference
I can finally get audio from the satellite to the coach speakers,
great color cameras, audio to the rear TV when playing dvds,
NO stupid microphone when the turn signals are on

really cool ipod dock and media port thingy
found out my sub woofer will PUMP the windows
i never had any good sound before, it was always flat.

i also looked at a spanking new 2010 tuscany, they bumped the HP to 425 and got bigger tires, 285's
going to call cummins on monday and see about a software change to bump the HP

happy camping is ON again

Robert, did the dealer do this or did you go to a stereo/electronics shop to make it work?

You will LOVE the 425. We have it and it will accelerate like a car. Traded an Itasca Horizon 300 Cat for it and have found very little difference in fuel milage. The Essence is longer and much heavier, so Cummins is doing something right.

Doc
the dealer made the repairs, it took the technician/expert 10-12 man hours to get it right, but it was well worth the time spent.
we were part of the repair and sat in the coach most of the time working with him to get it right.
still playing with the sub woofer balance on some channels, but i am a happy person

Glad to hear the Jensen radio unit works well now. Where was the sub woofer located. I am not sure ours is working that well. Also our satellite dish audio goes straight to the TV and not through the system for some reason. Was that a difficult fix on your new system.

Regards,

Phil

our sub is under the fridge in the forward most area.

to get the satellite to play audio through the house speakers,
1. you should have a set of rca wires red and white for audio that come from the TV's audio output, it should connect to the jensen on AUX 1 or AUX2 input,
then the tv will provide the audio inputs to drive the system so you can hear it through the house speakers.
we found the aux 1 inputs from the tv to be loose and when reset and taped it started working.
the new unit must have a learning brain, because now when i turn on the dash unit it automatically goes to either aux 1 or aux 2 and a few seconds later it plays through the house speakers, a side note, the aux inputs share a link with the media port thingy, it also has a set of rcs inputs, ipod and usb connections. I left the ipod plugged in and it stays charged, plus if scroll to the ipod it turns it on, scans it and then gives me the ipod menu on teh touch screen, it even remebers what song it was playing when i swapped source inputs to watch tv.
overall i am very happy
