[quote= ...I need to fix or replace the trans. coolant hoses at the cooler .
The engine to dash heater housing needs to be replaced but I can't get at or see half of the mounting screws as they are behind the permanent front face of the motorhome.... [/quote]

Richard, on your coolant box. I realize you have a Ford chassis, but it is possible to get to all the screws on the cover you may have to remove a headlight housing to gain access. On my little Damon, I can get to the rest of the screws if I remove the right headlight housing. I have to do that also, but am putting it off until after we have the grankids for a week. I have a leak in the heater core area under that cover and am hoping its only a deteriorated hose connection.
PS: the head light comes out on mine with four screws and two connectors, fairly easy.

Good luck

dave

Thanks again Dave you are absolutely correct and I happen to have the battery out of the way at this time. So it will save me a lot of time to replace the housing now which I was going to put off for some other time.
I have the passenger side of the dash removed in order to discover why my heat control is dangling and found that a mounting bracket is broken off. So I found a tiny angle plate which I will use to remedy this problem.
Although we still have snow here in Northern Ontario the sun is warm enough to do internal work.
Many more thanks Dave

I've never been tempted to the point of actually posting an off-topic post, but this deserves it.

Seeing this exchange absolutely warms my heart. Not only that I've found people so willing to go the extra effort and help strangers, but that overwhelmingly the Damon owners here share a real joy in their ownership and comradeship. I'm excited about getting started in this new (to me) lifestyle, and can't wait to learn just a fraction of what it is you all have to offer! Now, where do I start
