Hello Everyone... Seems I have run into another design problem. Like other floorplans, the 4076 kitchen sink is located in a slideout. Therefore, the drain line must have a flexable section to accomidate the slide movement. Problem is, the flex hose kinks severly when the slide is out. Also, there is a second kink point that occurs when the slide is in. Has anyone else had this problem... and how did you repair it. All suggestions welcomed... Also note that this flex hose will have to be cut to unscrew it from the couplings. To replace it, a union will be needed.

on ours the large flex hose will unscrew quite easily. i found out when it leaked.
i also added clamps to my flexible line so it rolls with the slide evenly and not kink
it has a shallow 90 degree curve starting at the floor then comes up and across.
i think lowes or hd or a swimming pool place should have the flexible line that is rated for hot water etc.
then go a bit longer and secure it so it rolls instead of dropping by its own weight

No issue with ours at this point (I think), but I am going to check to be sure. Thanks for sharing.

Found some of this flex hose at a Home Depot. Bought enough with PVC connections to make a new hose... only made it 2' longer. The original hose was way too short. Now I'm getting a long sweeping curve when the slide is moved in or out. Thanks everyone...

I had the same problem on my 2008 4076. Went to West Marine and
found the same size hose, made a new one 2' longer, spliced it
in with unions. Now works fine. My LP line was crimping in the same
area and I had to cut one of the wire ties that held it too tight.
All working fine now !

Sounds like someone at the factory didn't know how to measure, and was unwilling to cut new ones. Glad you both got it fixed.

My Daybreak has a single living room slide. With nearly 6 foot between the opposing couches I am quite happy with the enlarged living room area.

That said, everything I have read about the kitchen slides leads me to never want an RV with that feature. Besides water leaks and kinking hoses, I question the wisdom of a gas hose that you flex every time you slide the slide in and out.
