kitchen sink drains

Since we have been in this puppy pretty much 99% of the time over the last few years, our kitchen sink started draining slooooooow

I removed teh under sink plumbing and tees and washed them out..YUK
cant beleive how much stuff builds up

cleaned the traps and splitter that connects both sinks to the main drain. the gunk blew out and looked like old bacon grease.

it didnt help much
so last night i put together some piece parts and made a fitting to connect to one side of the splitter/divider which allowed full pressure flow on one side and allowed a suction on the other.

so this morning i connected the water hose to the adapter kit
and energized the line

WOW worked great no leaks, just loud sucking noises from the other side, so off goes some baking soda, followed by some vinegar

dw was watching what drain or was forced out through the drain with the clear flushing adapter.....i hear a scream and a OMG
how did a paper towel get in there?
it was built up grease and gunk

now we have fast draining sinks and my tank sensor reads correct

That sounds pretty creative. I would have liked seeing pictures. Not of the grease plug though

Sounds like an interesting fix and glad it all worked out. Nothing worse than a clogged drain.
