When camping this weekend, we had torrential, driving rains. (beach area on eastern Long Island).
Notice dripping starting over couch and dinette.
Discovered the whole length of the slide was wet, but really only seemed to drip in 2 areas, but the wood near drivers side has water damage.
The coach is a 2007 Astoria, so still under warranty until July.
We will call Damon this am, but interested to know if anyone has had a problem like this.
When we brought in the slide about a foot we could look down the top edge and see there seemed to be a seal or tape(?) bubbled in 2 areas.
Thanks for any input.
Sue

The roof line of slide meets the wall facia of slide on many MFG's MH's and is a 90* angle. In that corner is where the sealent brakes down when facia meets sidewall when opening and closing.
On this slide that location has a slope from facia board location.
If you have the 90* angle you will need to move slide in and try to apply some sealent in locations you see the lifting of seal.
A self leveling sealent may work in crevis that may have come open on roof top of slide.

Thanks "007", those are great pictures, and you explained it well.
My husband is very handy, but since this is a 2007, warranty up July 2008, I would like Damon to repair. Also there is alittle water damage on side extension.
I did forget to mention the slide for the past few times has not extended as smoothly as in the past, so this is something I would want them to check out also.
But thanks for your great pictures, and it is easy to see what needs repairing.

I had a leak on the LR slide that I didn't notice until we had heavy rains in FL. Here is a message I had sent to my brother while in FL this past Feburary. It now is leak free.
On the slide out, that must have been leaking for a while just never leaked through. Now the trim board under the facia is delaminating. I went to Camping World and bought a quart of Proflex, and painted one coat on this morning and will do another tomorrow. I had to put the slide in about a foot and put the Proflex in a plastic container and stand on a step to brush it on by feel. Later I shined a light from the drivers area down the slide and can see that it appears I got it all, but will do another coat tomorrow.
Would attach picture but tring to figure that out, just joined the site yesterday.

Hey Shellback, thanks for the input.
We did take it to the Damon factory, and they said it wasn't sealed correctly in the first place. Nice.
They fixed it and it seems fine...HOWEVER, I should have thought at the time to ask them to check the OTHER slide outs just to make sure they were sealed correctly. Hindsight is great, isn't it?
Anyway, I will keep the Proflex in mind if I should run into the problem again...
