I take delivery of a new Daybreak on Thursday, this is my first coach so I'm glad to find this forum. Any tips for a newby would be welcome.

Congratulations --- I guess my advise is to read the posts on this site to prepair yourself with answers to potential problems you may have. Also try everything on your rv in the next few weeks so you will know how it works and possibly find things that aren't working.

I was in your shoes 2 years ago, my first RV (Daybreak) and I'm glad I did it.

Ron

Hi Red Leader! Congratulations! One important piece of advice I can give you is to spend as much time as you can checking every single thing in the motorhome before you take possesion. Have them turn the fridge on before you get there, run the generator, run the AC's on the genset, check all the appliances. Open every door, turn on every faucet, flush the toilet, look underneith for leaks, take a long test drive...everything. Once you leave the lot, it will be up to you to get it fixed. If you find something wrong before to buy it, they should take care of it right away.
The motorhome is a very complicated piece of machinery and and it's hand built so things can..and will..go wrong from time to time. My advice is to look at it with a magnifying glass before you pay for it. If you have any questions, we'll be delighted to help you!

Good luck!

Chandler

Thanks for all the welcomes and responses The model is 3578 and it's an 08 workhorse with 8.1 chevy and allison 6 speed trans. Drives nice a little loud in the cab at 65MPH.

I Picked it up last night, went through it at the dealership but I'm sure I don't know what I don't know yet. Hope to spend some time this week end. Going to Family weekend in Missouri at sons college in two weeks should be over 1000 miles round trip, were looking forward to it.

After you load it take it straight to an alignment shop and get it aligned. It will probably be on your nickel unless you get the dealer to agree to pay in advance.
