Hey everyone. Just bought a 2009 Damon Outlaw and have some ideas (that are mostly stolen from here) to add water pressure valve and regulator, and some solar powered side lamps. But, one the threads I haven't seen too much of is this; has anyone swapped out the TV (27") that's mounted in the wall with something else (low profile) with a larger screen? Specifically, there is about 4" of wiggle room between the screen and the slide out (when "in"). What I'm thinking of doing is pulling the orginal TV (assuming I can find out where the mounting screws are), expand / replace the mounting hardware, and mount the new TV (32") which sticks out about 2 1/2" from the wall.

Anyone else thought of, or done this yet?

And THANKS, for all the awesome ideas and comments on this site.
Mack

Mack, First of all I want to thank you for joining our Community!

I'm sure that there is someone out there with an answer for you. We have a go-zillion TV replacement threads of all types. It's a very popular subject. See if you can drum up some support in the Technology: Internet, TV, Satellite, Cell Phones, etc. forum!

Whooo Hoooo..... Another Outlaw owner! It's good to hear from you.

I haven't thought of anything larger than what it came with, I guess I'm satisfied with it for now. Here are some of the things I did add:

A Sureflow 5.7 water pump
Support cables to convert the ramp to a deck
A roll up zippered screen partition
Wireless camera in the garage to monitor the bikes while on the move
A wall mounted garage style central vac system that reaches the dashboard
Tire pressure monitors
Condor style wheel chocks

Thanks Don (et al)

Glad to know that some of these things are already done or on the list.

"Support cables to convert the ramp to a deck" (Why did you go with cables instead of a folding leg system underneath?)

"A roll up zippered screen partition" (I've been searching for these with no success; you have a source, or did you have it custom-made?")

"Wireless camera in the garage to monitor the bikes while on the move" - (Yep, thought of this, but so far, all the wireless system seem to have range limits thatdrive me nuts!)

"Tire pressure monitors" - (I looked at several systems, notably Hopkins Model 38100VA, but the range is too short (and even with the boster and ant the reviews aren't great), so if you have a recommendation that works I'd love to hear it!

"Condor style wheel chocks" _ YEP! Have two, one in the garage, one at the house, greatest thing I've found in 30 years of riding. . .

And, just as a general comment, I travel a lot, something like 220 - 270 days a year. I've seen one (1) other Outlaw on the road in all that time. We sure can't be the only one's out here, but it sure feels that way! :-)

Thanks, I'll keep going back to that thread and see if anyone has any ideas. I got so excited that there was a Damon site, I kinda ignored everything else.

So many times you find uneven ground or, no ground at all, under the ramp when you park. This is a sure thing and takes a minute to hook then up with nothing to store as the cables hang right where they're connected

It was a custom length at 103" but it was made and delivered in under two weeks from here: Toy Hauler Screens - No Bugs Allowed!

I forget the brand but mine works great in the garage since it's a relatively short distance. The GPS does knock out the reception so I have to keep it off when I'm looking back there.

TST is what I'm using, I wanted to know the temperature as well as the pressure. I've had no issues other than a bad batch of sensors which were replaced within a couple of days. I got all that in a modestly priced system. Dan Covington at TST is a great guy to deal with as well if you have an issue or question.

I haven't seen one on the road yet! I guess this explains my excitement when I saw this post

We've booked a site at Boyds in Key West for the week after Christmas. Keep an eye out for me

Sweet set up with the cables. THAT one I have to look into as I agree that now all ground is level (like I didn't know that one after being an infantry guy with more years on the ground then I care to recall). I'll check out the screen site tonight. And last, would you belive that I posted that comment about lack of Outlaws and have seen 3 in the last 24 hours alone. One next to me in the camp site, one fueling today (in route to NM), and one pulling into Service at the local dealer.

My gosh, we're NOT alone afterall!

Seeing them on the road is one thing. Having one pull into a camp site next to you is another. You should grab a lottery ticket while you're on a roll.

I like your SIG line! Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. I'm sure you earned it. And thank you from a fellow American for putting in the time.
