New seat skins from Dave and LJ

Ordered new seat skins from Dave and LJ
fantastic customer service

they arrived 2 weeks earlier than expected.
My wife and I did the driver seat today and will if weather permits do the passenger tomorrow
the originals were vintage 2008, Damon, ultraleather seating areas were in good shape, but he vinyl lowers were horrible.

worse part was having to cut holes in the new covering for the arm rests and seat switches..
still need to let the driver sit and relax, then do some final adjusting of the material, we also added a bit of cushion to the lumbar area.

we also jumped from boring light tan to brick red. all i can say is LOVE IT.
it really goes well with the window valances.

Nice!!

The original looks to be very similar to the '07 Flexsteel brand in our Damon Outlaw.

Could you share any details on ordering?

Thanks

ordering was easy as falling off a log,
I called Dave and LJs rv
RV Furniture and Remodel At Dave and LJs

i told him what we were looking for, either replace the entire seats or reskin.
He sent us a color palette from utlrafabricsllc.com

wife and i took a week to decide on color,
i called dave est at the above and sent him a copy of the build sheets from under our two seats that flexsteel had attached.
i ordered new skins from him and he placed the order with flexsteel and they punched out a pair and ups to me,
dave was a great help on all the particulars and the steps to replace the covers.
fantastic.

and the fabric is ten times the quality of the old skins from damon

give it a 5 out of 10

took pictures of where the hog rings where located as i slipped off the old covers and paid attention to where the inner liner routed to pull the fabric into the crevices.
add in thinking about an assembly line, and took a long look at all the attachment clips and how each switch was connected.
had to go to tractor supply to find an pair of hog ring pliers under 40 dollars.
removing the arm rests takes patience after you rotate them past full up and squeeze in to release the are pin lock. you tube has a good video on it though

we covered the large rolling work bench with thick clean blanket and did it on the porch.

Dave & LJ are easy to work with, had them swap out a 2 burner cooktop for a 3 burner with gas oven... looks OEM factory & the price was right!

Powerboatr,
I want to recover the seats on my Tuscany, so I am curious about the Tuscany name on the covers, how did you get that done?

you need to sit down.
on the bottom of the two seats, stuck in between the cushion and the steel springs were the build sheets from Flexsteel to Damon.
I emailed Dave a digital copy of the two build sheets so he knew exactly what i had in the bus.
in the build sheet it outlined the word TUSCANY. i didn't think flexsteel was going to sew them in, but when i opened the box..bada bing there they were
Dave ordered the whole seat skin as ultra-leather, vice the ultra-leather and vinyl that Damon used.
they are soft as a baby rear and defiantly a higher quality and thickness over what was on them before

Sort of wish i had known the embroider was going to be done and i would had the "DAMON" put on.
the brick color is a knockout and really made a huge difference over the beige

overall it was not real hard removing and replacing the skins, just take it slow, take pictures and see how things go together and are routed.
hardest part of was taking passenger seat off the seat track mechanism, but slow and steady gets it done
