DW and I got tired of looking at the plain white night shade, and its lack heat blockage from those days parked aimed at the sun
we picked up some r-9 insulation bubble wrap stuff at lowes and and nice deer print and an aquarium print.
wife sewed em to the insulation and now we have a nice deer print for passers by or an aquarium if we feel froggy
i think the aquarium print will warm things up in the winter time and help us remember florida
i wanted a print of a big bear driving a bus.... but they were no where to be found
i attached five snaps across the upper valance and let the screen shield hang
it has really stopped the intense afternoon heat load
she has made em up for the side windows now as well
some with owl and deer and some with bears...

Bob, That looks real nice. I've been thinking about that stuff to put on the outside of the windshield (From RV Sunscreen | No More Snaps, Drilling or Climbing) What do you guys think about this stuff?

i looked at them to and was leaning towards giving them a try....
but being the frugal person i am....i tried this r-9 stuff first , i had two large rolls left over form another project, so it really only cost me DW time sewing

darrel
i believe the r9 is achieved when its placed across a stud cavity.
i seriously doubt i will gain r9 using it like i have but it does stop the HEAT load tremendously.

sorry for the confusion

Darrell,
I found the Watts at Home Depot. I think it was about 25 bucks.

For those w/o a "seamstress" in the family, Camping World has approx. the same sunscreen for $6.49. It fits our entire windshield (left to right and top to bottom) and the price was right even though we purchased ours at the normal $9.99
