Started a "remove the monster TV" project.
I have a 2005 Damon Challenger 335 with 8.1 L and workhorse chassis that I've had for a few months.
After I got the TV out I checked the wires for the light that is mounted under it and there is no power(checked with ignition on and off) I don't remember ever using it before. Then I checked the wires to the antenna amplifier and no power there either. (could explain poor tv reception)
There is a 12 volt "cigarette" style plug on the front firewall in front of the passenger seat and there is no power there either.
I pulled every fuse inside on the drivers side and the fuses under the hood outside, they all look good. Checked all the fuses at the foot of the bed also.
Is there another place to look for fuses? my last resort would be to run a new fused 12 volt line to power the antenna amplifier, (light will be removed in my modification)
I removed the antenna amplifier and checked it with the car battery, the little green light "lights up"
Mark

Don't know about the Damon, but on my LaPalma the lights under the TV are operated by the rolling dash light switch. They come on when you roll the switch like you were turning on the dome lights in a car. No voltage until then.
Sorry, but I've got nothing easy for you on the other 12v outlets. I would probably start tracing the wires back. Both power and ground.

Thanks guys, I didn't find anything wrong like you did Max,,,
going to check each fuse with a continuity tester.
only need 12 volt to the antenna amplifier so I will just run a new wire if I don't find a bad fuse.......
will also try to follow the wires to see where they end up.

On my 06 Hurricane with a workhorse chassis and 8.1L engine, the fuse for the TV amp is located under the hood, upper right corner of the fuse box as you look at it then the 2nd fuse down from the right upper corner.

I had the same problem on my 1996 Mirada. No tv..no power to some outlets up front..and light wouldn't work. I pulled numerous wires...check all fuses. It took me a few days to go through everything I could think of. On one my quests to find the problem I walked to rear(inside) and I noticed a ground fault breaker on an outlet had tripped. I thought there was no way that this was the culprit . I reset it and everything worked. I learned a lot of new words that day! But I laughed about it later. So if you have any CGI outlets make sure they are not tripped.

Hi whodoc,
Consider making a thread about this problem in the Thor Owner's forum on iRV2. On the main page scroll down to the Owner's Corner. There you will find a forum for Thor products. I suggest this because nobody knows your coach like somebody who owns one just like yours. Thor owners may not be reading the General Motorhome forum.
