I have 2011 371 challenger with 5000 miles on it. Just recently I noticed I had no dash lights or taillights. I have brake, directional, back-up and emergency flashers. I have checked all fuses under the dash and in the control modules under the hood as described in the manuals. Am I missing something? Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Hi
I'm no electrician so I can't help, but maybe this post will "bump" you to the active column where the experts can see it...
I do have one suggestion, though:
Yours is a pretty new rig- wouldn't this kind of thing be covered by your warranty?
Good luck!
Francesca

Sounds like mine did
If the fuse is good, it probably your "ICC" switch.

On my Damon the lights you're describing only come on when I flip my ICC switch.

The ICC switch is a momentary off switch , a courtesy light to thank drivers for letting u in or whatever. If it malfunctions, it may be in the off position. U can test for 12V before and after the switch
If bad you can just replace it or just jump across, bypassing the switch.

Thanks Max49. I have gone thru the fuses again just to make sure and replaced any that were labeled Dash lights or Day time running lights descriptions and still do not have any dash lights or running lights. I rocked the ICC switch several times with the engine running and the headlights on to see if I could get the dash lights to come on but no luck. I am now about to pull the dash apart to get to the back of the ICC switch. Should there be one wire with power always to it ?
Thanks Tom in NH

I doubt it is the ICC switch but if you have power on both sides of the switch with park lights on its good and means headlight switch is good. If you have no power on one side of the switch it means ICC switch is bad if you have no power on both sides it means headlight swithch is prob the faulty part. My guess if no fuse is blown its a ground issue or head light switch. If it is the headlight switch that is a Ford part and should be covered by the 3 /36

Ok have taken the dash part to get to the icc and headlight switches, found no power to both sides of the icc switch. So I replaced the headlight switch with a new one. No luck dash and running lights still out. (anybody need a headlight switch?) started looking around found a connector that came from the headlight switch to the icc assembled wrong, reconnected got running lights but no dash lights and wire and connector now get hot to the touch. Any idea's on what to look for next.
Thanks Tom in NH

Sorry you're having that electrical gremlin Airflite. I can't think of what to look for next. My dash , tail clearance, etc all went out together and came back together. You must have some kind of short if the wires are getting hot.
My ICC switch would blink the lights off if I had them on, I don't know if it would have blinked them on if I had them off or not, and now my ICC switch is disconnected so I may never know.
Good luck and let us know what it was when you find it.

My 2 cents says there is a relay in the system and the icc switch grounds that relay to make it function.

you are back feeding The ICC thats why it is getting hot as stated you need to find the ground and ck that. Mine only has relays on the headlights not on parking light circut but it is possible you have one in line some where

Several years ago when I used to work on Care stereos I had a short in the wire that tells the stereo whether or not the lights are on so it can dim itself. This caused a fuse to blow which took out my dash and tail lights.
Is your stereo lit up and does it dim when you turn on the headlights?

On both my motorhome and on several over-the-road tractors or trailers over the years, I had occasionally run into issues with rainwater getting into marker light housings and tail light connectors. This would cause the lights to not work properly and, with the light connectors and even mild moisture in the markers, it created enough resistance to make the wiring and bakelite backs of the switches warm to the touch.
Also, is it possible that there is a fusible link from the Headlight switch to the ICC/Interrupt switch? Moving it as you did could cause a bad one to temporarily reconnect, and would heat up from the resistance.
Just my opinion here, offering somewhere else to look!
