What does your manual say? Look for the API service designation and the suggested weight for the temperature you intend to use it at. Then pick any name brand that meet both the API designation and the weight.

Here's the Onan manuals on line: Cummins Onan RV Generator Technical Documents

Here's a very handy Onan care and feeding guide: http://www.cumminsonan.com/www/pdf/rv/f-1123.pdf

Here's the API designation information: http://www.api.org/certifications/en..._Oil_Guide.pdf

I keep it as simple as possible. I put Onan oil in it. It only takes a quart. Any RV place should have it.

Good Luck,
Bill
