Our new Tuscany has the in-dash Jensen entertainment centre and now that our local tec has spent some time correcting some stupid screw ups ......... it works just great. Our sat TV sound was not being directed through the built in speakers (5.1 surround sound) which I thought was completely boggis so we had them look at it and low and behold the wires at the dash were all screwed up at the factory. What a difference........ radio, IPOD, DVD, cameras, GPS, and now finally TV all audio through the system.

If I where able to get a Jenson how hard would it be to relace the off brand unit in my 2008 Tuscany that does none of those good things?

I would guess that if you enquired through a vehicle audio shop (such as Future Shop) you would get some good advise. Those types of people are great at running cables etc. All the pieces are in your coach they are just in the wrong place.

Darrell
all the pieces are there wire wise, the cameras are smaller so some touch paint on the sides.
the rear one is plug and play
i used the ipod dock this trip, I am not an ipod nut but even i managed to hear great music
the tech used 10 hrs to do the install, piece of pie

Car Audio Stereo - Car Subwoofers - Car Amplifiers and Speakers they have it and actually a newer gen. Have bought several things thru them. No problems and great prices.

On my 2008 Tuscany which I bought new in Aug 2009, the cameras had water in the lenses and the surround sound was not working correctly so the dealer was able to get a whole new system (cameras, Jensen sound/video/surround sound) from Damon. The rear camera now displays a "mirror" image. When someone passes me on the left, the display (picture) shows them coming on my right side. Freaked me out the first time I saw it, thought someone was passing me on the right!! Took it back to the dealer...hopefully to get the image corrected. Also the DVD video isn't working now. Think the installer missed the plug for the video when he installed the new unit. But I will say the clarity of the picture from the new cameras is great.

Sounds like it's NOT set for mirror image (which it should be) . . . if the camera is facing backwards, when someone passes on YOUR left, it's the camera's right . . . setting the screen to "mirror" the image coming into it makes it "all good"!

mine some how switched itself
it confused me as a car passed me on the right but i was looking for it on the left
I tend to watch the rear camera to much i think
I will notice in my periphery and then watch for it to pass

I was not satisfied with the OEM camera on my Outlaw and my co-pilot is a dog. After much research and seeing it demonstrated at a FMCA Rally, I went with a Total Vision color digital camera system. All hard wired. The OEM rear b&w camera was relocated to my garage to keep an eye on my Harley. On the back now is a camera that pans left and right and up and down, also side cameras mounted inside my mirrors, two nose cameras, [no more blind spots] and one camera inside above the dash looking back. For pic's - scroll down Total Vision Products: Cameras save you money, time, aggrivation. Just examine other RVs for dents, cracks, scuffs, and other damage.
