I need to drop in here more often..
Had exactly the same problem on my Intruder, only it was the other side. Local dealer called a local glass man who said "Duh, it will likely come out again duh" and he was indeed right.. 2,000 miles from home it came out again, Las Vegas Dealer (Wheeler's, now Las Vegas RV) called Dave Simpson Glass who kept the rig 3 days and did a 1st rate job, I doubt it would have come out again but there was considerable stress on the gasket so Dave was not happy, pointed it out to me and convinced Damon to authorize a factory visit.. I happen to be parking for a weekend some 30 miles from Damon so after the rally we dropped in.

They fixed it right

They removed the glass and original gasket, re-cut the opening this time using a straight edge that had not been run over by a semi truck, replaced the glass and gasket with a good grade of the proper polyurethane like adhesive. This windshield is NOT going to come out without permission baring an accident.

NOTE they do not use any adhesive in the main plant, only in the warranty plant.

Give 'em a call and set up the visit. They are very nice people. Wi-Fi and all

John-D Thanks for the info. Now I know what needs to be done to fix it right. I'm going to see if I cant get the dealer to take it to the factory and have them fix it.

Wow... dejavu..

Don't get me started about my 01 Intruder's windshield debacle from 3 years ago!!! What a nightmare, and NO support or help from Damon.

Now my wife religiously wears her seat belt cuz she thinks she is going to sucked out of the coach when the windshield pops out... thank goodness it's her side !!!!

When my 08 Outlaw windshield had to be replaced due to a rock chip and crack, I was advised the new windshield had to sit for at least 24 hours after installation for the glue to set or risk separation. I have not had any leaks or separation.

Call Damon... IN my case my Intruder came with the self removing windshield option (Same as, it appears, your Outlaw) I re-visited my dealer and they called their contragt glass idiots, Guardian Glass, here in Detroit, Guardian sent out some kid barely dry behind the ears and he porta-powered it back in and said "Duh. it'll likely come out again" and so it did, somewhere around Kingman AZ. I put a strap on to keep it from getting worse and pulled in to what is now Las Vegas RV after calling Damon. They called their contract glass man Dave Simpson, of Simpson Glass, Dave himself came out and.. Well.. Let's say he did a MUCH better job, may well have lasted the life of the rig.. but HE was not happy with it, he personally showed me why and between him and Wheeler's (The old name for Las Vegas RV) they convinced Damon to schedule a factory visit.. I was set to attend a rally like 40 miles away later in the year so we set the factory visit for the day after the rally. Rally was great. Drive to Elkhart was lovely... Dash went out (Known issue) and A/C had failed (Not known issue) between Vegas and ELkhart.

Damon fixed AC, replaced Dash cluster, and re-cut the opening for the windshield, this time using a straight edge instead of a french curve, they then proceeded to install the windshield using much the same method Dave Simpson did (Did it right) and .. Well,, If it comes out again,, IT will be by accident or intent. (Accident as in traffic crash, intent as in "Throwing a missle at a moving vehicle" (The Michigan language for throwing bricks off overpasses) Oh, I do have a funny story about that. (Not personally invovled)
