Outside step light?

Found amber light on underside/outside at top of steps. Looks like it might be to light up steps, but so far havn't figured out how to turn it on. Logic says to my old mind that it should come on with patio light. Dumb me or warrenty issue?

Welcome ctpres to irv2.
My light will come on with steps extended and screen door open. Have you checked the bulb and take a look at ground wire to the lamp.
Lamp works off control unit.

Its part of the kwikie steps and controlled by the step controller. It will only light up when the door is open (both of them) and the steps extended.

Thanks

Now I know where to start. Generally I prefer to fix things myself. Not always satisfied with work of others. So far have fixed over half of new coach problems. Thanks again.

Can't fix it if it isn't broke

Thanks for help. Light was part of steps assembly but not hooked up at factory. Must not be an option on my LOW end Daybreak. Now all I need to figure out is, does unused light lead on control need ground or +12 for activation. Man. dosn't say.

Here are downloads for Kwikee Products should find something here to get your lamp working. As I said lamp works from control unit and ground maybe a screw into frame from light. Test the lamp with meter see if its good.

I have an 07 Daybreak and it works on mine. On mine it only comes on after dark, when you would need it.
