Yes, you are right. Always check your owners manual. When in doubt, call the manufacturer. But, it should be easy to rewire if one wanted to.

Ok I think I found the answer. The switch that disconnects the 12 volt system so you wont drain the batteries (coach) When it is off or on you can press it on the right, hold in down, and there is your emergency start. Release it when engine starts. So it is a momentary switch.
Thanks guys..It all makes sence now.......

You push the rocker switch down on the left.. Sorry not right (my bad) Mine has a pic. of a battery with a diagonal line thru it. That will get you started if your chassis battery has gone bad.

ON my chassis the "Main battery" disconnect, if it even works, is operated by the ignition (I don't know)

The Emergency Start or Aux Start switch is what I would call the "Battery Isolator Override" that lets me start the coach on house battery power. I have had to use it a few times when the battery connections needed cleaning.

I believe on my 2005 Damon it says EMERGENCY or EMER or some such, It is next to my inside Generator switch.. Of course yours may be layed out differently.

I have 96/97/98 Damon Intruder, that is: Ford chassis made in 96, coach mfg in 97 on a 98 floor plan. I have talked to Damon rep (before Thor) Quote; with switch in normal position, pressed right, batteries connected together, will charge both batteries from shore power or from alt when traveling, switch pressed left, batteries disconnected for storage. Does not work for me as the previous owner modified the BCC for unknown reasons and I am now trying to make right, wires taped together and missing wires are the problem as I do not have schematic for the Cytech DC3000 BCC. 8help, anyone. Might have to go to another brand of BCC. (There is no press down on the dash switch)
