My wife and I would also like to become members of the Damon Owners group. We just recently purchased our 2004 Escaper and have greatly enjoyed so far. Going to Key West in November.

What does it mean to belong to the Owners Group? I've seen that before but I don't understand what it is.

It's just recognition of your brand of RV and a bit of camaraderie.

Well Welcome to the group... If you mean you wish to join the Virtual owner's group. You are here, Welcome

If you mean a Physical (Real world) group where you all park your Damon's in the same field and converse... If anyone knows of such a group. Please post info on it. (thanks in advance)

I have heard a lot of talk about Damons, not all good, but frankly I think you made a good choice. I have researched many of the sub systems in my Intruder and found most of them first rate, My only real complaints are the awning (And there is no good power awning all of them have problems) the microwave (Dometic made by LG and I HATE LG's cause LG means Lucky Goldstar and you are LUCKY if a Goldstar works properly, Never been that lucky, though I do have my microwave working properly now, Thankfully I have the skills and training to fix what they did wrong) and the VCR, Zenith, once a quality name, is now LG as well, see above, The Panosonic I replaced it with works fine)

The one major issue I had with the coach itself (Self Removing Windshield option I did not order) Damon fixed no problem, in fact they fixed it "Better than new" if you can believe that.

One thing I will warn you (And all other Motor home, Damon or not) about is a joke I like to tell.

I find many RVers have a few screws loose...

No, not that kind, the kind you tighten with a screwdriver.

A #2 square or Robertson bit is of great assistance in tightening them (you can get robertson bits at Lowes or Home Depot)

These include screws in the master power distribution panel (UNPLUG and kill the generator before playing inside this box) as well as trim and other screws.. NOTE that this problem is common in many motor homes, in fact all of them far as I can tell, NOT just Damon.

Do not neglect battery maintenance

Overall I am very pleased with my Intruder and suspect you will be very happy with your rig as well.
