It was a nice chilly windy day on friday
so off i went below to check for any thing to be sealed up before old man winter set in hard

i found my plastic propane tank access panel developed a leak sometime during our last trip, felt a cold wind blowing in through it and had evidence of flowing dirt/mud on the bottom

off it came for a new seal and some weather proofing.

i think now i have hopefully with fingers crossed stop the last of the basement sneaky leaks

If your tank is in a closed compartment, usually they are in open carry all and exposed to the elements should not have a problem.
A LP gas leak in closed compartment will cause a problem.

the funny thing is the tank is hanging out by itself form the frame.
I think they put this access panel in is to aid the EASE at which you could get to the electric valve and gauge wiring.
if the panel was not there i would suspect it would suck big time to get a good look

the panel itself has a less than robust cheap seal and it a route for road splash to gain access to the basement.
its made from abs and has zero insulation properties vice the rest of the basement walls, sounds nuts doesn't it
