I have a 2010 Tuscany 42RQ we just purchased. I'm thinking of installing a remote door lock control and maybe for the basement doors as well. Using a key every time I want in seems to be antiquated (by today's standards).... Anyone tackle this projects yet?

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all!

Bargeloh, I would have thought that the Tuscany already had remote door and compartment locks. Quite a few rigs have them installed OE. When they work they work well however like anything else if it has a bad day nobody goes home happy. I have not seen an aftermarket locking system. I would certainly look at doing this mod if I were determined to do one task with a remote, lock or unlock.

I thought Tuscany, at over $200,000, would too but they don't even have it as an option! looks like I will be designing my own system. one for the main door and one for the basement doors. For the main door I plan on being able to lock/unlock and also "pop open" simular to a shaved door ( but keep the door handle. For the basement doors I'd like to be able do have one off/on switch inside that wii allow me to have individual actuators active on each door. Then each door will have it's own button to pull the OEM latch. That way the key will still work if needed.

What do you think? Any experts out there with suggestions?

Try 'rvlock.com' at least for the entry door. Suppose to fir standard openings.

Lots of actuators on Ebay. Running wiring will be the bigger problem. PS...mine quit after a big rain...still tracking the problem...one day maybe.

I want to stay tuned to your idea as I have been contmplating the same issue. Copilot gives me h___ for not locking cargo doors, and there has to be a better way to keep me out of hot water.

Glad someone else is pursing this. Good luck.
