Residential fridge in Tuscany 4055 floorplan

Hello Tuscany 4055 owners
we own a 2007 Tuscany 4055 (5 slide model)
anyone put in a residential refrigerator in this floor plan
our concern is the entertainment center located across from the fridge location
blocking the doors while the slide is in
your comments are appreciated

let me know when you find one that will fit through the door
I have been looking to replace ours, but the ones i found that would fit through the door are UGLY
looks like the kitchen slide would be the best bet, to remove and then put in the new one
of course the heater compartment would have to be modified

Did you put one in yet? We just got a new 10 cu. ft LG residential fridge. It is a bit taller than the Norcold - but it seem to have matching dimensions for the width/depth measurements. (see my blog in the link below for some pics.)

Hi, yes we did replace the Norcold with a Samsung 197 that is 17 cu ft. We are really pleased with how it looks and the constant temperature. We had A-Z Mobile RV in Paola, KS do the install and it looks like it has always been there. They removed a window to get it in and did some carpentry work to get it to fit but it is really nice.

We just finished a trip to Thor for some warranty repairs and they have fixed the leaks in the two bay doors, repaired the leaking shower and stabilized the shower floor. Also had them repair a crushed heat line under the bedroom slide that was the heat for the basement. Did you guys know these puppies have a heated basement? We thought we did but Thor confirmed it when they repaired the line.

Thor also replace our sunshade that was not functioning properly. All in all Thor has been very good with the warranty issues.

I will attach a couple pictures of the new fridge. If anyone is in need of a Norcold 2010 series we have one that works and it is available for a reasonable price.

If any Astoria owners are looking to replace the Norcold I highly recommend the Samsung 197AC it is great.

from my research I've discovered most RV "shops" remove the windshield (or half) to remove/replace large items such as couch, refrigerators, washer/dryers, etc. Seems it's only about $100 for a window shop to remove then replace the glass.

royal pain in the rear but overall we both are pleased with the outcome and hard work. back is sore

did some re-arranging of the subfloor above the heater

as you wish kind sir \

I lowered the subfloor 4 inches and that made it very close to the top of the heater plenum, so i added a heat shield to the bottom of the new plywood floor, works good no problems
we had a few days already of 20f outside so it ran ALOT one night

i recycled the thermal blanket form the side of the old fridge and made a thermal blanket for the outside cover,

few more pics

had to move the subwoofer to the basement as well
which is really cool if your outside.......
also the inside panel slides up to allow access from the street side.
I also re-attached the fridge back panel plenum after the fridge went in and was screwed to the floor
its tight but i have 1" up the back and on each side
I added a vent in the sidewall behind the sliding glass door to vent off any excess heat.
plugged the roof vent and filled it with expanding foam

drfilm hooked me up with a source for door latches, they are made by first safe and I found them at babies are us in the safety aisle

oh yes black shows them finger prints

the vent is hidden behind the sliding glass door and serves to let out any excess hot air..but so far air flow up and over has been great

amperage draw has not yet gone over 4 amps when it starts and generally hangs at 2-3 when running, even when i select hyper drive to chill the box real fast, after loading.
