Residential Refrigerator anew.
Well, rather than keep posting in someone else' thread I'm starting a new one. OK?
After a lot of measuring and remeasuring I am now confident enough to order a new Samsung RF197ACRS form Best Buy. It should be here Tuesday. It's gonna be a real tight fit but should go in the hole.
Wish me luck.
Ron

I looked at your profile to see the type of RV you have and then thought it would be good to add that so if someone with the same RV has made the change they can tell of of any problems they encountered.RV Manufacturer DamonRV Model Tuscany, 4076

I kinda thought that would be a little redundant as this is the Damon forum.
I've removed the trim work plus shelve from above the refer. Also the false floor and some of the trim there. This will give me the space from the slide out floor to the slide out roof. Right at 70". Which is almost the exact same measurement for the height of the Samsung. I guess I'll see Tue..

Norcold out space left
OK, Finally got the old Norcold out of it's hole. still need to remove from the MH. Will do that Tues. Did some remodel of the hole. To make it taller I had to remove the false floor/platform that the Norcold sat on witch gave me the 70" needed for the Samsung. So now the new frig will sit on the carpet on the slide floor. Also added some Styrofoam to the outside wall, added insulation I hope.

we are starting quite a trend with tuscany change overs to samsung
we really like ours
i did go with the 195 model due to overall height as the heater resides under my fridge,
the outside vents i used the foil pack from the guts of the dear norcold to make an insulated blanket for the sidewall vent. you have to cut off the foam from the freezer on the norcold and gently remove these insulation blankets, I had four from my 1200 norcold
i also made a sliding panel to access the rear of the fridge from outside after removing the vent panel
we had to completely field strip the norcold to get it out the front door.
cooling unit off, doors off and then we removed a whole bunch of foam it was full of water and HEAVY
the new fridge we pulled the doors ad the small square panel off the rear that protects the water line, plus the water line was rolled up and stuffed in the compressor area untl re-assembly once in side/my door way is exactly 24 1/4"
the samsung was in the stripped conditon 24"
we had to remove the inside grabb handle and the passenger seat to allow a smooth entry. ad it was still tight and just touched the entry way cabinets at the ceiling

It's in
I hired 2 guys to remove the Norcold and put the Samsung in. Took them about 2 hours. Now I get to do the finishing touches. Here is what it looks like so far.
Goody,

Well you get the idea.

Thanks
Thanks PB.
I'm looking forward to it. While I was at it, cause I took out the cockpit seats to get the frig in, sent them out to have the new seat cover cushions installed. Thor gave them to me for half price. ($500 bucks). And 200 for the install. Now we are ready to go somewhere.

i tried to get thor to comp some seat covers....but they shut me down.
BUT
we are looking at recovering them with some nice thicker saddle leather like in my truck, and add seat coolers
we have had this coach now since early 09 so an interior freshening is coming soon
just have to be home long enough to get it all done
first after this last trip is a water softener or a whole rig r/o unit to fill the fresh water tank, we got some hard hard water this last trip
